We are an unmatched Duo, Cathy is a pointed quilter and Leanna is the pointless quilter (my points don't always match) but we get along and Cathy is very patient with me, she also teaches the classes.
We have to share our time, Cathy and her husband have an alfalfa farm and she will be in the hay field day and night most of the summer. Cathy recently sold the Hay part of the Farm. But her Grandkids have taken up her slack time. (5 at last count) She just bought a new 5th wheel trailer. Guess that means I will see less of her for awhile.
Leanna is getting out of the Quarter horses, Although she still has 9 of them, 1 is for sale. The Sandy Curtis Memorial Reining Series is over, and yours truly (and BOBO) took 1st place in Open Bridle Reining. Got a huge trophy, silver bit, Original Oil Painting by Blue Horse and lots of other stuff. My Palomino Filly (Honey) took 2nd in the Snaffle Bit Reining and won me a beautiful pair of spurs.
Cathy and I also have reining horses which I have shown and won some with. Cathys reining baby is home from training. Look out Next Year, by then we think we can do both, run the shop and ride.
If you live anywhere near us, and are interested in Reining, we are starting a Reining Club for next year. Nothing Grand, just a place to get together and practice.
